The 3 Sectional Staff is one of the most versatile weapons within the martial arts, but is also on of the most difficult to master.
Our Foam Three Sectional Staff offers students a softer training alternative. It features 3 pieces of PVC that are covered in foam.


Total length of each section of the staff is approx: 24 inches.
Length of metal chain approx: 5.5 inches (7 links in chain). Diameter length is approx 1.2 inches and attached with a high performance ball bearing swivel.

This easy to handle practice weapon is a one piece, lightweight PVC pipe which is 26'' long and has a 3/4'' diameter. It's covered with 1/4'' closed cell foam rubber and has two polyethylene end caps.

HISTORY

The Filipino weapon known as the Escrima dates back as far as 200 AD. In the earlier years, there was no formal training available and techniques were primarily passed from father to son. In the 9th century the Chinese began trading with the Philippines. Along with tangible goods, the Chinese also brought much cultural influence and it was this influence that helped the Escrima evolve into a more effective fighting weapon.
